When I was in college I learned about banana republics and cobalt in my phones and the children in the DRC that were affected by everything I purchased.  I started to learn about the orangutan's anger toward my deep fried veggies and that every time I threw away my trash, it mostly ended up in the oceans.  I learned just how connected we all are on this earth and for many reasons, most marketing departments for big companies don't want you to know about the evil that happens behind the scenes.  

I love the outdoors, I love exploring and adventuring in the outdoors, and I have a deep love and appreciation for Mother Earth.  It's hard to sit in walmart trying to figure out which milk jug is better for the planet and it's hard to figure out which bathing suit is more eco-friendly when you have a stand up paddleboard party next week and your dog just ate one of the straps on your go-to bikini.
